Hedonic Needs: Kuma's Corner

An example to describe Hedonic Needs, I went to Kuma's Corner, which is a metal-themed  bar/grill located in Schaumburg, IL. They originated off of Belmont Ave. in Chicago, IL and expanded this branch in July 2015.

  • Kuma's Corner is famously known for their 10 oz. burgers, which have been critically acclaimed on multiple web articles and was also featured on the show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." All of their burgers are named after rock bands and all have unique condiments that come with them that you don't find at your regular burger joint. Such condiments include: Tortilla Strips, Pulled Pork, Chili, Frizzled Onions, Pouched Pear, Grilled Pineapple, Buffalo Sauce and many more. They also only serve craft beer, which means you won't find any labeled type beer such as: Budweiser, Coors Light, Miller Genuine Draft or even imported beer such as Corona and Heineken. This bar/grill creates an experience like no other with their loud metal music, big juicy burgers and visual art that is on display.

This is the bar section of Kuma's.

  • Slayer Burger- (signature dish)- one of a kind 10 oz. burger loaded with house-made chili, sausage, monterrey jack cheese, scallions over a bed of fries. (Stimulation/Adventure)

  • Metal music videos playing in the background that gives you that rock-type of experience. (Stimulation)

  • Unique art of bands that you can find posted on the walls of this bar/grill. (Stimulation)

  • More unique visual art of Metal bands that add to the experience of Kuma's. (Stimulation)
